    Hi,

My name is Pierre and I just joined MASA for the first time.

Used to have a marine tank many many moons ago.... boy how things changed.

Anyway, decided to start up again. Living in Parow, Western Cape.

Bought myself a Buyo LT 550 last weekend. Setup with already mixed salt water from LFS, as well as live sand. Has been running like that for the last 5 days, so obviously no problems apart from the water temperature being 33 degrees ( without the heater being on ).... Cape Town is hot and my livingroom even more so.

Added 10kg Fiji Live Rock yesterday
Just picked up a Buyo L200 Chiller today from LFS. ( Sam's gave me a very good price ), so will be adding that tonight or tomorrow.

Only question I have at this stage is : What will be the best way to connect the chiller to the Buyo ???

I also bought a 1800 lph pump, but I suspect it might be a bit too strong. Wont it be better to use the stock pump for the chiller and the new stronger pump for flow ??

    I need some advice please.

    Regards

    Pierre

welcome tio masa pierre great to have you join and even better to hear that you are getting your hands wet again:)

those temps sound frightning (for someone living deep in the snows!) and you def need that chiller connected soon. But its difficult to advise you without seeing a few pics (i dont have a boyu and i am not sure how you will get the water to overflow for the shiller) so try load a few pics, else I am sure someone with experience of those tanks will help you out soon:)
