Welcome , looks like a good start , for now just be patient and wait for your cycle to start get a clean up crew before you look at fish and just keep asking questions, lots of good advice here , ps do you have any test kits ?

hi and Welcome to MASA. these TL450 are very nice systems. my very first tank was the same. be very patient with the cycle. can add Microbelift's Special Blend to get some Bacteria going. also check your parameters as often as possible as they tend to be not so stable in small systems.

also maybe replace the thermometer with an electronic one. those are unfortunately not designed to work in marine tanks. the suction cup gets hard and falls of all the time. :)

Thanx for the welcome. I have seachem stability to get the tank started and adding some food every night to help the cycle process, no skimmer and want to add some live rock to help the base rock not looking so freaking white.

got some advice as to add a black Mollie after a week or so to help establish the tank swell.. just one.. and if he dies it 20 buks and not 200 ;)

no testing kits yet, ran out of money but looking to get some asap..

Had a tropical tank some years ago that went great, but had to stop, and gave almost (to my regret) everything away to friends.. now have to get started all over again

Ill keep the updates coming as the tank progresses.

stability is awesome too. can also use seachem Prime with it to get rid of Nitrates which will be coming in in a few weeks or so. try get a skimmer asap. as that is actually a very important piece of equipment to have. Can get from Jungle Aquatics in Forways. get the skimmer for the TL550 as they work brilliantly. and can fit into the skimmer chamber of the TL450.

    Picture please.

I had a a pipe setup long ago on a 220L tank that was not drilled. it worked. But it does get in air and you need to get that out. Just an extra bit of maintenance and frustrations at times.

I had the exact same concept.
The pipes inside the tank, make them all the way to the bottom of the tank. With the T piece that low, the suction would be better.
At the top of the bend, where it goes over the tank, I had a 6mm hole with flexible hose with clamp attached. Easier to suck out the air to start the siphon.
