    Hi guys

I have recently joined this forum and really enjoy reading posts and information.

Today I have purchased a 60L tank (sun sun HR-500B)
    Specs of the tank is L x 50cm, W x 31cm H x 45cm, led lighting, filter is built in the hood
The guy from the aquatic store has setted it up for me. He added ceramic rings, activated charcoal and I'm not sure if its crushed coral I can't recall what he had said.

I have a wave maker and heater also in it
He has also given me the following:
    *coral reef marine reef salt
    *dophin general aid special (liquid)
    *aquadene photosynthetic bacteria (liquid)
*14 in 1 nitrifying bacteria (liquid)
    * a refratormeter to measure salinity
    * sand

The only things I want in this tank is 2 clown fish live rock and sand.

So guys please could you give me some advice or a heads up.

    Regards avikar

    Hi Avikar91

    Welcome to the Forum...

I'm going for the same setup but running a TL550.

    The LIVING Marine Aquarium Manual:

This should keep you busy ha ha. I love refering to it and it's super informative...

    Aquarium Calculators

DallasG posted this the other day.. Super awesome calculator and very helpful.

Do you plan on keeping any corals or an anemone for your clowns?

    Firstly welcome to the hobby.

I would suggest to let the tank cycle first before adding any live stock. live rock will help the cycle process along as well as the bacteria
here is some links about the nitrogen cycle

In my opinion replace the ceramic tings with Seachem matrix. I prefer not to have ceramic rings as they are detritus traps, and activated charcoal must be replaced fairly regularly,

I note that your system does not have a Skimmer, although it will be best but you can compensate with weekly water changes(10%) I don't have experience with sump less nano tanks.

lets see what the more experienced nano reefers say as I am also fairly new to the hobby.

hope you enjoy the hobby, and happy reefing.
