New to Forum and New Tank Cycling

Hi All,

Just saying Hi, am new to Reefing and currently nearing the end of cycling a new 50Gal tank with about a 30Gal Sump. Just wondering if anyone can help me identify the Following hitchhiker that came with my macro algae. Looks like a baby anemone to me.

That looks like aiptasia. A big problem and pest in our wonderful hobby. Just snip the algae around it and chuck it. Don't try to pull it off as this will just release more spores in the system and you don't want that.

Just not sure why its so white. Sitting on your macro algae, I'm sure it should had light wherever you got the macro algae from. And it should be a light brown color. Unless its just the camera acting up under the lights.

Can just nip that piece of algae and throw it away as mentioned by @EFJ

Thanks very much guys, i will take him out. The Camera isn't picking up its color properly. Its more of a bleech white.
