Im about to purchase a 1.2m tank. I need to know in terms of sump what size the devitions in the sump needs to be. Lfs said I need to get 90cm sump. I want to have soft coral in DP later. Do I need to have dsb or what is best way to go for sump

You dont have to have a DSB, provided you have another way to remove nutrients.
That said, a DSB would work well for a softie tank. If you are going DSB you need to make it as large as possible for it to be effective.
What equipment are you planning on running, skimmer etc?
