welcome to masa. You will need powerheads maybe vortex mp40 and lightning you need to decide what type of corals you want to keep. Are you going for the DSB or NP Pellets? Pics will help.

    Welcome to masa buddy.

Wel not sure about the skimmer. But JNS, Bubble magnisium and Reef Octopus are nice makes. Just go have a look on the internet for some specs or go have a look in the for sale forums, theres great deals some times.

Ill say it depends on what you wana have in the tank.
Ill say get a skimmer that can do at least 1200L cos if you go SPS at a later stage then your skimmer will have to be able to do double the system volume.

Ja you will have to get a minimum of two power heads to get some water movement.
Maybe get those Resun power heads for a start, or if you wana treat yourself get a boyu or Tunez wave makers.

Lights depending on what you wana have in the tank.
Fish only - Then you dont need that intense light. T5`s will do.
Fish and coral - The more light the beter. Lots of T5`s will also do.
Fish and coral (SPS) - MH`s great option but then you must have a chiller for atleast rater for 1200L system. You can also go for LED`s, very very nice, but a bit expensive still.

Oh, and good luck. Enjoy the hobby and never feel weird about asking any Q`s on masa. There will always be somebody that will help you.

Ive been doing marines for about a year and a half now and im still learning loads every day.

DSB stands for Deep Sand Bed (Thats where bacteria hosts)
NP reactor with NP pellets also a source of bacteria.

Bacteris lives in the DSB, on NP pellets, on Bio filter media.
This bacteria in a marine tank treats your water when it flows over the DSB, NP pelets and so on.

And then in short makes the water save again for your fish.

    NP reactor is nice (BUT)
In my opinion not always so nice cos what if your pump on the reactor dies on you or the reactor gets blocked with junk. Your not home, the bacteria dies and your system crashes.
Obviously theres ways of preventing this. But its your choice, remember this is your tank and your budget. Ill say get the system up and running, let it cycle for a month. Dont rush things, and research research and more research.

Then a DSB is a little better there but it does take some time to get working a 100%.
You can always run both if you want and you can also dose different bacterias to get the system going from day one. But be careful with this.

Lets see some pics of what you have already

Wiley, I think you should read the article in my signature on starting a marine tank - it will give you an idea on lighting, filtration, etc ,etc - it's a very nice read, not too long with valuable info ;)

Have a look at the error message when you add the pics.
It might be that the pic is to large. MB and resolution size.

It might also be your internet explorer giving you a problem.
You can also try using Mozila Fire Fox

    Got some Q`s for you.
Please give us all the Dementions of the total sump L, W, H plus each chamber.
And why do you have LR and no DSB?

LR will also work but rather go for a DSB or a NP reactor.
Whats the size of your Display tank and your return pump?

Can you also give some pics of the DT.

    Thanx
