    Hi All

Looking for some info.I'm new too the marine game.I would like too start a marine tank, preferably in the 4ft range for fish and some live rock. Could some one give me an idea of how much would i pay for a reasonably priced set up and the cost of a sea salt additive.Oh yes battling to find info on maintenance of the tank and the time period between adding sea salt additive.

    thanks

    welcome to MASA,

please have a read through some of the forums for beginners, there are detailed posts on how to setup a great tank .... are you convinced that you never want to have corals? if you are considering corals later then setup the filtration with that in mind, the basic filtration costs whether for fish only or for corals and fish are not terribly different

I would not go below 4ft unless you want a nano tank. 3ft will just annoy you as you cannot keep many fish in it.

Have a look on the "for sale" forums, there are generally some tanks and setups available there.

Welcome. I have to agree 4ft should be the min size. Try buy the biggest tank your budget allows. Dont buy small to save money or rush things it will come back to bite you later.

    Read up and ask questions.
