I have a 250l (550x500x900)tank with a drip filter in the hood, it also has a fluval 404 .The lighting is 4x25w tubes.I have no space for a sump. Can this setup be used as a fish/liverock/easy invert.(if there is such a thing) tank?

It could work, but you going have to keep the livestock very low and do regular water changes. Maybe try have a DSB in the tank, to assist with filtration.

Yes you could use it. What is the fluval 404, is that a canister filter or one of those hang on filters?
