New tank 1

    I move vryday my old invert tank to the new tank. Till now every looks good. Running my external fiter olso on new thank. Test everything no major problem. It looks like my nitrate's is n little up. What can i use if my nitrate's going up. Need lots of help here. I don't want to whaite till last min , i want to be prepared. Thank's.

    You could use Redsea No3 : Po4 - X (NOPOX) as a alternate, in conjunction with strong skimming. Only had positive results

    I would also run a course of good bacteria for that first week or two until the natural filtration catches up.

    Did you also move a lot of the old water to the new tank?

    USE WITH EXTREME CAUTION AND CONSTANT TESTING;)

    i would say safest is to add a good bacteria source and do some big water changes , should reduce in no time

    my tank 1 invert test every evening, nitrate's is still high, know iets gonne take time. the water changes every 3 day or once a week. mension huge water change like + - how manny liter. no losses so far. stil using bacteria aswel. thanks

    Why are you changing your water so often? Leave your tank to settle and stabilise.

    How high are your nitrates? What is the exact reading you are getting?

    If your nitrates are not coming down with so many frequent water changes then you're attacking it the wrong way, you need to find out what is causing the nitrates and sort that out first, water changes are only masking the problem, if there is one.

    Did you wash the old substrate before putting it into the new tank?

    no wash, i used old substrate in my tank and in my samp, this is the 9 day after i move my 2 tank's to new tank's the 1 is invert + fish 2 tank only fish. test with tetra test no 3. test it a min ago and 25mg/l. this was the first water change. the tank is 1200l and i change + - 100l. no losses, seahorsses and pipefish olso eating.

    was a nightmare. 2 meter tank and sump.
