new starter

    hi everyone just got my first tank 200ltr betta curved glass front with a 100 ltr sump and a deltec apf 600 all bought second hand only £170 quid bargin about to get started once i have resealed the leaking tank lol been waiting a week for the marine sealer to come its killing me just want to get started got my testing kit all ready brand new h2 ocean salinity refractometer live sand ready will order my live rock when my sealer comes for the tank will be using nsw to start my tank as i live next to the coast heard some good things about using the real stuff will upload some pics once i get started any advice more than welcome wish me look newbie:peroni:

    thanks every one will keep you,s all posted with up dates and photos when i get it going the wifes not too happy with my new hobby lol but she can go fish haha:tt2: pipe work finished today just sealed it few more days and im on it cant wait im like a kid in a sweet shop with no money keep the faith

    lovely looking tank that:) and love that skimmer in there. time to get it fulled with RO and salt mix and then add some sand.

    have you thought much about sand and LR and how much you plan to use?

    ive just finished filling it 5mins ago ive got about 5/10kilos of dead rock in there at the mo i think im going to add about 20 kilos of blue stone rock 10 kilos to start with bleeding money at the mo rock rubble for the sump in with the skimmer caulerpa and deep sand bed in the middle. Ive been to the beach today filled the tank with that about 2 inches of it its nice sand and i

    have put some live sand in to top it off. will be adding some crushed coral when i get a chance. almost there let the battle begin :25:oh yer going to rob a prawn off the ball and chain
