    Hey guys,

I went to the local Buildersware house here in Table View/Parklands/Sunningdale yesterday and saw a new marine shop opening there.

It's called something like Ocean Son.... any one have any more info on it?

Yes the shop is called Ocean Son Aquarium it will be mainly marine (70%) and some freshwater ( 30%) including tank kept Koi. I am helping the guys out to get everything settup, They are members of MASA but I will wait for them to ID themselfs, Ocean Son is a manufacturer in the East and much like Boyu they manufacture tanks and all other reefkeeping items. I think the location for the shop is perfect and Im glad Henk was so observant to notice it. The stock will mostly come from Bali and surounds so its going to be lovely stock all the time. The holding tanks are due for delivery round about the middle of this month then we will be able to start the plumbing. One of the ideas with this shop is to try new stuff IE new brands not re-invent the wheel just new designs and manufacturers so that the shop is not in the same boat as all the others hence the reaon for looking only at the best of livestock and not so much the local stuff ( although I love my African speciemens )

So that it for now and it sgreat to see the interest ...............realy great

Ok guys you need to realize that what you see in the lands far away is not going to be replicated herebut Im sure you would know that right?????????

This thread started with a good tone but it seems that now its just about a few silly laughs why dont you posts some good ideas or coments and lets not play like silly kids.

What I am trying to say it that this store will not be anything like the fuzzy pics and discriptions you see on the net it will be done 100% right if not I would not be willing to put my name to it.

trev, its great to hear of a new shop opening, especially in cpt, but when they use images like the one above as promotional material which shows a tank with inaapropriate tank mates in a tank that is too small for the fish in it, it leads to a very poor first impression to be honest
