That coral seems to be going downhill. Do you know what your parameters are? Such as Calcium, Alkalinity, Magnesium, Nitrate and Salinity. Maybe something is out and we can correct it before it gets worse.:)

Thanks! That's been my biggest struggle at the moment. Everything else is fine except these scans at the moment. Temp 25 salinity 1.025 . Ammonia and nitrite 0 . Nitrate 40 . Alk 10.5 . Ca 450. I've moved it all over from being on the sandbed to the top and even tried dipping in iodine

That is more than likely the cause of any unhappy corals, it needs to be 5 or lower ideally. Do you have a skimmer? What sort of other filtration are you running? Do you use RO water?

Yeah, battling to get it down... I have a skimmer and dose nopox. I do 10 to 30% WC weekly and for filtration I use ceramic rings in the back chamber of a Red Sea Max. I also use Seachem Matrix and De Nitrate

Hmmm, ask for some more opinions on this but if I was you I would continue with the NOPOX, but stop water changes for a while and then slowly remove the ceramic rings, Matrix and De Nitrate over the course of a few weeks.

Maybe @irie ivan would be kind enough to assist with a deeper insight into it. :)

Ok cool. What would be the reason for removing that media? I've been using nopox for about a month now . Only recently the skimmate has gone a green colour

Ceramic rings need to be maintained and rinsed regularly otherwise they become Nitrate factories and will cause your Nitrate to increase over time. Better to just remove them and it's one less thing to worry about in your tank. Here's a thread on how to clean them -
    https://www.marineaquariumsa.com/threads/how-do-you-clean-ceramic-rings.43753/

You're running 3 or 4 different filtration methods when, in my opinion, you essentially only need one. The NOPOX will work but it can take 4 to 6 weeks until it starts to kick in and you notice your Nitrates beginning to drop, just be patient with it.

What lighting do you run? The zoas seem to be stretching for light as well. Might also be part of the issue with the acans.

Also, what kind of skimmer and how much do you feed a day. All of these will give us some insight.

Hi - If you haven't checked out nano-reef.com, it might be worthwhile, as there are lots of (older) threads on the RSM 130 and mods to improve performance & lower nutrients. Most advice I have seen is to remove the Ceramic rings once your tank is established - if they are in the stock location under the return pumps they are a pain to access and clean.
When I was running my RSM 130 stock I removed the rings, and ran biocubes in a bag with an airstone next to the skimmer, before the heater, for nitrate reduction.

I use T5 PC 110w in total with LED supplement . I have the stock Red Sea skimmer. So would you suggest I remove the ceramic rings in the back filter compartment? The tank is 7 months old... I feed twice a day. The pic of the shrooms and cows was just after a water change. All other corals are doing fine and even my Monti is growing. Just the acans I'm having issues with

Crazy thing. Case home tonight from work to find that the acans are slowly opening again! did a 30% water change and raised them higher in the tank. My only assumption is the water change lowered the nitrates and in doing so helped out the acans
