    Hi guys

contemplating anw project and would appreciate input / advice as i am still new at this game:)

My current 1,6 mtr DT is standing in the middle of a +/- 3 mtr alcove in my dining room, i am thus left with 2 x 1,5 mtr "open spaces" on each side of the tank. Thsi is my idea. Build 2 similar tanks to fit into these spaces (i would prefer to make them triangular as i would then get a 1/2 circle effect with good viewing potential).

Thelarge DT will only house shark display, one side tank Lions & and a few monties etc other side tank softies and clowns , gobies etc.....

All tanks will share one large sump with 2 skimmers, phos & ca rector, DSB, & scrubber. Each tank would have its own powerheads according to flow requirements but will share return from sump.

Could this be done or am i daydreaming

Just make sure the floor can handle all the extra weight.

HMMM..shaun im not very technically inclined....I would be able to calculate the aproximate weight (LR, Water, Stands etc) but I take it i would then have to enlist the help of an engineer or is there a rough guideline?

sorry for the late reply viper..no not yet, im still anoob at marines and thus wasted a lot of money on stuff that wasnt planed well , didnt need etc etc thus when i go this route i want to do it right the 1st time around...also one hell of a big system so moving / fixing things might be a prob later on

this is where i am now:

will start building a modular type frag tank (then i can expand as ned arises), this will go into my granny flat / office to start getting more stock going so long.

have my plans drawn on paper but i suck at scetch up...as soonas im finished i will post forr commets

looking at how i can mod / ipgrade existing equipment to save a few $$$$$ as the wife thinks its a bigger tank is not a priority:p

My big problem is to try and figure out if my floors will be able to handle the weight , dont want to start & then end up with 1/2 a living room:lol:
