New powerheads cause stress?

i bought a new pair of seiosm1100, befor you install it in the tank soak it in vinegar and water, mine was a little bit oily
 
I know this is a bit late, but good flow is important in a tank to stop detritus from settling, BUT going from 3200lph to 24,000lph is totally mad, you have upped your flow 800% no wonder your fish were stressed, going from a walking pace to warp factor ten at the flick of a switch would leave me with a slight stress too.
