So Adriaan is starting to deliver the 800x800x600 cube tomorrow(still waiting for the cabinet to be completed 3 weeks now) and have decided to start a new project that I can keep in my office. Crazy I know.

    TANK

300x300x250 in 10mm startfire glass, yes I know it is overkill but I like the sturdy look it will give. Anyone know where I can get the black marine silicone? Looking to do a skinny overflow in the back.

    SUMP

    270x200x200 in 5mm glass with 3 compartments 1) skimmer 2) LR & cheato 3) return pump.

    STAND

300x300x350 out of 12mm square rod. powder coated and marine ply cabinet. (Anyone have a piece lying around?)

    EQUIPMENT

    Skimmer

    Sump lighting

Auto top up using 2l bottle

    Heater 25W

Main Lighting in a modified desk pendant using this globe

Going to try DIY the whole thing so might call on a few of you for assistance.

    Any comments will be appreciated.

Maybe modify this to hang over the tank with a DIY stand

The glass arrived and a poor attempt at siliconing. Anyone know how to neaten the silicone?

too late now, but masking tape is a good way to keep the trim neat.
Otherwise just wetting your finger and sliding it along the joint can work nicely with lots of practice.
