Oh yes, his LR was uncured so not sure on how long it'll take to cycle, however the tank was seeded with my old substrate (majority of the substrate was from an established tank) so i'm thinking it will cycle faster than 1st thought.

Will take a few more readings this weekend.

A very WARM welcome to MASA, Mike! I am so glad that you have Matt at your side, guiding you step by step. Please ask as many questions as you can. Try and get your head around EVERYTHING w.r.t keeping marines. From testing kits, to water chemical parameters, to water flow, to filtration, to lighting.....

Ask, ask, ask..... There's no such thing as a stupid question - only the question not asked.

Glad that you have made a start already. Best thing to do now, is be patient - wait and test - wait and test - repeat this until your ammonia/nitrite/nitrate levels are either 0 (for ammonia/nitrites) or nearly 0 (for nitrates).

W.r.t the moonligh tLED question - I think best would be EITHER to contact a LFS who supplies the type of tanks you / Matt have/had....
OR alternatively, try and find out whether that LED is a 12v LED, or a 220V LED, and get to an electronics speciality shop - they should be able to keep something similar in stock....

Good luck with your journey. Remember - this is YOUR journey and art-work!

ANOTHER THING - we just LOVE pictures! Ask Matt! So post em pics!
