    Hi All

My name is Eugene and I live in Roodepoort, I joined this forum because I have recently started my own Aquaria nano and love all the threads and advise I have already got off just reading older posts.

My tank is busy with the nitrate cycle, so still a bit of waiting to do :whistling:

Hey guys, just thought Id give some updates on my tanks progress.
The tank has cycled and I have started adding livestock

    this was around day 14

I have since added three Hermitts, 2 turbo snails, 2 cleaner shrimp(love these little guys), 2 yellow tail damsels(little terrorists) and over the weekend I purchased 2 percula clowns. The damsels are constantly hasseling the two clowns and I dont know what to do in this regard? do I leave them to sort out themselves? All the guys in the tank are happy, the cleaners are very selfish with the food and seem to have bigger eyes than stomach's :)

    here are the two terrorists

and the two clowns with a glimpse of on of the shrimps

    lastly a full shot

The damsels and clowns may be a problem together. each pair will want its own territory (or rock to call home) and your current scaping doesn't allow for this. Perhaps split the scaping top try and keep the fish away from each other.

    Hi @Eugenemone,
Your tank has really matured great! The difference in the pics first posted to the last pics, is really great. I agree with 459b. Try and seperate the 2 pairs with some sort of tower in the middle. The problem you have is both pairs are from the Damsel species and those little yellow tail damsels should have been called "yellow tail devils" ;). Theyre extremely territorial and would take on fish much bigger than themselves. The Clowns do get very aggressive especially if they have paired and are trying to establish their territory and nesting area.
The problem is, you have 2 very, very territorial/potentially aggressive pairs in a relatively small tank. Try the above advice, if they do not settle within a week or so, I'm afraid you would have to take one pair out. And my advice would be to take out the Yellow tail Damsels. They will only grow more aggressive even with other fish you add to your tank.
Good luck and please let us know how things are progressing!
