    Hi there

My Name is Derek I currently have a marine aquarium at work which has been my pride and joy for approximately 20 years now.

It is a approx 400L setup which consists of 3 linked tanks with the same water circulation. The main tank has soft corals, moray eel, 2 nemos, 2 electric blue damsels, 1 blue cheak gobey, convict tang and a sea cucumber (filter feeder). The middle tank I have a baby octopus just resently brought back from the ocean and is becoming quite tame (he is the main attraction in the office).

My nemos have just spawned for the 10th time and up to now I have not managed to raise 1 young. I have tried all available food in my area but nothing seems to work. Fresh water rotifers, frozen rotifers, coral foods e.t.c. has anyone got any advice for me.

Hope to hear from you soon.

    Derek

    welcometomasa derek!
fish breeding doesn't really work in a community tank and usually does up being food for somebody. if you'd really like to try breed them they should be in a separate tank. can you share some more details and some pictures on your tank?

    Hi,

thanks for the reply! I will try get some pictures up soon. I have 3 tanks connected with the same water supply as I wrote in my previous mail. The 3rd tank is the separate tank which I leave the eggs in to hatch. The eggs hatch but only last for about 2 days. Feeding them seems to be the problem.

Welcome Derek, sounds like an awesome setup - tell us more about your filtration, lights etc. How have you secured your Octo tank? I hear they are amazing escape artists?

    hello derek, a belated welcome:)

20years with a marine tank and kept at work means that you must love spending time at work just to see the tank (s) :)

that does sound like an entriging setup and more details and a few specs with pics would be greatly appreciated:) Its also great to hear that u are in Vb park, we have a few members from the area.

How long have u had the 8 sucker legged camo artist? a number of people i ahve spoken to are amazed at their level of intelligence and often public aquariums say the hardest thing about them is keeping them mentally stimulated. Defiantley a creachure best reserved for advanced marine keeping so i hope you have researched alot about them, if not i am sure we can point you in the direction of a few people whom might have good experience with them.

welcome to masa and happy postings:)
