Just a question. Are you going to brace the tank on top? Why I am asking is 8mm is a bit touch and go at 600mm high.

I built the 1200x1200x550 corner tank from 8mm. Braced all round top and bottom. Make sure between main front glass and sides is well braced as this is your weakest point at the 45 deg. 0940b3696fc53d401e19e01b425b8805.jpg ccb36a8ea23f03f0f6344544ef08c75b.jpg

I made mine 16mm below the top so the 2 extra bracing in corners are flush with the top. One ontop and one on bottom with a triangle glass fitted inside. 1c22d7f6ab11916b1166de3a7b288cf0.jpg 6c5b84dd9d6b6b62f1f6e38858a6ee8c.jpg

I did a drawing quick this morning on the corner tank and definitely will have to be braced as there is deformation at the top and high stress loads round bottom, your going to have to euro brace around top and on base of tank to side panels.

Did drawing, braced with 60mm x 6mm all round and applied 400L of pressure, all works out!

    No bracing:

Bracing added with 20x20@45 deg silicone beading on inside:

ok so now glass has to be send back as the overflow holes were drilled at 30mm not 32mm so maybe im lucky on my 3rd inspection an the tank build can begin. O to explain it better the base of my overflow box at th back is where the wholes must be drilled as i extended the sides and base to form the overflow box this will give me a stronger bond with the overflow box part of the tank as there are now actually 2 back panels holding my sides together. Promise to send pics as soon as things start coming together

Ensure that you install a grid or netting to prevent snails from going over the overflow. Being in the back corner you will not be able to get anything out of there without doing some Mission Impossible hanging from the ceiling.
