Through trial and error have managed to get my tank up and running reasonably successfully for a year with help from the local pet shop but am so pleased to have found this site while I was searching the internet for a float valve.
My tank is quite small it is a 135ltr with 12 kgs of live rock and 5 live corals, 4 different fish, one coral banded shirmp, 1 spiny brittle star fish, and 1 hermit crab. Have had a few setbacks with two of my fish jumping through the smallest hole in the tank.
The one main problem is that we have many power failures in our area sometimes for hours on end and this causes great stress to me, the fish seems to get though them far better than I do.
I have an automatic feeder and the lights on a timer but if I go away on holiday I need to ensure the water is kept to its optimum level in the sump and much to my delight happend to find tthe MASA site.
I am interested in the float valve but have a problem, apparently one needs to drill a hole through the side of the glass sump, which is not a viable prospect for me, how else would one attach this particular float valve to my sump.
