    Hallo all

My name is Oscar im a Masters student in environmental Science in Potchefstroom

I am brand new in the marine aquarium environment, so i have no knowledge at this stage of the race but would like to learn from you guys.

I got a 1500mm x 500mm x 700mm tank with a double reinforced bottom 10mm all round as a gift and decided that i would like to begin a marine aquarium.

I started with aquariums and fish about 7 years ago and have been breeding with tropical live bearers, Oscars and Angels.

And thus i finally decided that i would like to begin with marine fishes as they have always fascinated me when going diving.

    Well hope to learn alot.

    Oscar

    Welcome to MASA!! :)

I'm doing my masters in conservation biology at UCT! So we can prove that even skint-broke students can keep marine fish! hahaha!

You will be asked to post pics! ;)

Always fun meeting new people thats into marine in town, atleast he found masa early, have to say that most of the advice given to the locals is very old school.

Hehe... now you know its doing what its supposed to do...:D

I have learned some but some things are still unclear but have downloaded all the info in the beginners section and aquarium basics that i found in Vipers signature.

So far so good. I find the setup very interesting and im keen to start buying but dont yet know anything of the brands and which performs better than others so that is my next quest....
