This has been a long time coming but we were waiting for the shop to be almost 100% complete before doing the article. We have learnt that nothing is 100% complete and our shop will always be a work in progress.
Well as most of this forum knows we at Northlands went through a change a few months ago. This is going to be fairly picture intensive but will show the stages of setting up a pet shop. I would like to thank all our loyal customers for their patience during this migration and a special thank you to all the customers who gave of their time to help with this move.
First we have ‘out with the old’, sad to move out of the old Northlands after so many years, kind of felt like we were leaving home. If anybody has ever moved a tank spare a thought for us moving the entire shop.

Then we have ‘in with the new’ and had a look at this hugh mountain we have to climb, to have the shop up and running again in just 2 weeks.

We started getting all the 'furniture' moved over and started setting up the new shop. Chris and team were working late into the nights to get through this in time. We had deadlines to keep and didn't want to miss it.

The day arrived when the doors opened and we started trading again. We at Northlands have always strived to set new standards in the hobby, we now actually had the space to fit the shop as we always pictured our shop to be.

Now whether you comming in to shop or just for a chat, even if you feel like getting away from the office for your lunch break, why not sit and relax for a while with a really good cup of coffee.

We decided to give one of the Jewel tanks a test spin. This is the 5ft and runs skimmerless and sumpless, it runs on the filter supplied with the system and is run to manufacturers recomendations. Maintenance is a weekly water change and lighting is 2xT5 tubes. The tank has been running for about 2months now and has never suffered an algae outbreak.

Shop looks GR8, well done guys.
 
very nice Sean will definatley be popping in for a visit.... i have been raving to my wife about the old shop but this one will really blow her mind....
 
Well done, looks like a gr8 place to shop lotsa hard work gonna pay off.

There is just one thing that concerns me and thats the size of the loo.

The shop is looking fantastic. Was in there last week and all the livestock is tip top.
