So i recently moved in with the my other half... yes i can get one of those as well, us ugly okes know how every so often.. she must definitely be with me for my personality.
Anyway, to get back on track, i decided at first to almost sell everything that was still at my old place (would have been a bit heartbreaking when it came to my 2 clownfish that i had from the very beginning when i started marine tanks), but then my woman saw @ccwilke tank.. she asked me why don't i set up again, told her that it would be a bit of a hassle to get that corner tan out of the house again and setting it up all over again, and the fact that maintaining a corner tank proved to be more of a shlep then anything else. also started to neglect it because work also took over. So anyhow, the morning after we had one of the legendary ccwilke braais she told me she wants me to set up a new tank... and she will pay for everything, being the nice guy that i am declined and told her its to expensive and not to waste her money on things like this as it will be needed elsewhere, she then threw a bit of a fit and i had to comply. So i started making my calls as any other reefer would and started getting quotes from a friend on a stand, another on the tank built and so and so on (you all know how it goes)

    so here is the layout.

    Stand: 1000x650x1000
tank dimensions: 800x500x650 (i know its odd size but there is method to my madness)
sump: standard 2ft Daro tank with no baffles (again i know, method to madness)
flowpumps will be the same as what i used in my corner setup. will be about 9000 L/ph of flow in the tank
ATU will be added to sump to maintain constant water levels and not mess the skimmer around (see method to madness)

Now to get to the question that is probably going through your head... why is the tank dimensions smaller than the stand dimensions?? because of the height of the tank it gives me a place to stand on the stand whenever i feel like changing my scape. also space to put my fish and coral foods so it doesnt stand all over the place.

more pics to follow tomorrow as tonight i have to start filling this bad boy up.

as you can see there is already some of the rocks inside the sump busy doing what they do best... just laying around and doing nothing in particular. seeded them with special blend as they were pretty dead after a vinegar bath to rid of GHA

also would like to say thanks to @ccwilke for his help in getting the saltwater ready for tonight.

    sorry for the long post

So after a good day at office and now at home. She is finally filled up. Only one minor set back on the overflow which was leaking. Quickly applied some silicone and now just waiting to dry up a bit so I can start the return pump. Have a fan blowing on silicone to speed the process up a bit and should be fine at 23:00. Thanks to all. Also thank to @carlosdeandrade for the aragonite. I love my black aragonite lol.

@NO3 i am not using poly this time. believe me it is not standing naked on the wood. if you look closely you will see a blue line running at the bottom of the tank in the last pic. its a sponge type of thing that they use in ponds that is strong enough to hold the pressure and give the tank a comfortable rest.
