    Hi guys,

I'm very new to the hobby of marine keeping, but been admiring it from a distance for a while, and then a REAL good deal came along, and it would have been stupid not to jump at.

So got a full set-up, tank, equipment, live rock & livestock.

    Tank dimension are I think 1.2 by 800 high & 500 deep.

    Livestock:
    1 yellow tang
    1 two-tone tang
    1 brown surgeon
2 camel shrimp, (1 living in the overflow section)
    1 percula

    Will load some pics shortly.

    Hi,

It's running for about 2 months now.

I've 3 pumps on the skimmer, not sure about the size, 2 pumps in the tank to create flow. I've not connected the calcium reactor, don't really need to do I? The one end of the tank is split into 2, one houses the pumps for flow, and the other section is the overflow.

The live rock, not sure about the kg, as they were all part of the deal. I've noticed some sponge growing, white & yellow, and I've been told that's normal. ?

As for my fish I initially had a picasso trigger, yellow tang, brown surgeoner & two tone tang in the tank. Since then I gave up the picasso to have percula's & shrimp.

I've since lost the 2 perc's & 1 of my camel shrimp to the overflow - but just saw the other day the shrimp living @ the bottom of the overflow.

As far as maintenance is concerned have not really done anything as yet. I'm thinking about doing a 10% water change this weekend. Will be my first time.

Other than that I just feed them flakes, brine x2 a day.

Please let me know if I need to do anything else. Also, what other options of fish can I put in my tank ?

I've got a auto top-up, but as for real maintenance have not done anything as yet besides feeding.

Hi Munier! Awesome tank/setup! WOW! A very WARM WELCOME to MASA, mate!

SSSoooo - I presume that that lifestock came with the tank then? Did you put completely new water in the tank? And what substrate in the tank/sump do you have? All new? Or also came with the tank?

Is that a TS3 skimmer? its pretty low in the water mate, you may need to raise that baffle on the right

    Good start otherwise
