    Hi Everyone

I'm very new to this... never ever kept fish in my life (not even a gold fish in a blow)

Im looking for as much help as I can get.

also would like to know where to start... and what all I need to set up a tank.

First thing to do is read! And research. Especially if you have never kept fish. I would do that before you even buy anything. Learn about the cycling process of tank and the basic requirements of a marine setup most important of all and I can't stress this enough...... Realise that fish keeping is addictive haha! Welcome :)

Hahaha welcome man. It is very addictive like charlieB said. Read a lot and ask questions! No question is a stupid one as we all learn and started somewhere. Look in the beginner's forum there are stickies there!

Welcome to MASA. See if there is reefer near you and arrange a visit and go see how a setup is done and ask a lot of questions. It's sometimes easier to understand when you see what somebody's talking about than to read about it.
    Good luck with the journey.

Welcome to the hobby and MASA!

so lets start at the beginning: there are 3 types of fish keepers, the fact you are here eliminates 1 type, so on to the other 2
    1. You want fish/corals/inverts and want to sit and enjoy
    2. same as above except you want to know all the biology etc that goes with it...

i can tell you now this hobby is very addictive and with some planning and forethought it can be very rewarding :)

there are some great CT reefers i can refer you to @459b , @MistaOrange, @Nemeziz_za

    Welcome to MASA!!
Shout if you need a hand with anything. There should be another reef meeting soon so you can come along and get all your questions answered.
