new growth

    there is a new growth in lavender color, i suspect it is a sponge but i never seen this kind of color. does sombody has an idea?

    i will try to take pic every week to see how its progressing.
    have you ever saw this color with a sponge?

    Yeah, they grow quite well, just do't take them out of the water, they die when expose to air.

    Yup i have seen similar color sponges but i have also see that color cyano. Hence the growth rate Q. Just out of inquisitiveness, what salt brand are you using?

    Hmmm..... i think it is cyano. Just wave your hand above the growth and see if the water current easily dislodges it. If it comes off it is cyano. Don't bump it or pull it off if it does not come off. It might be a sponge.

    Ok then it is most likely a sponge. But just keep an eye open though.

    Sponges come in many very pretty colors.

    omer def a sponge ...I have exacly the same growing on a piece of LR in my sump. Grows rather quickly
