    Hi Guys,

My green polyps had a green algae growth which spread to my green zoa's. I pulled out as much as I could but it seems to have regrown although not as much but has spread to the pulsing xenia next to it.

What type of algae is this and what is the best way to treat it or get rid of it ?

    Thanks so much !

I would not reccomend just adding phos media if your not sure what you params are....can you please first list your params...then make a decision on what to do...

Where is your nitrate and phosphate sitting at currently?

Also, how old is your tank? There's many ways to get the algae to stop spreading, but we first need to know what your parameters are. Don't treat the issue, treat the cause...

    Hi Guys,

    I tested parameters:

    Nitrate: 8ppm
    Ammonia: 0.25ppm
    Nitrite: 0.00ppm
    PH: 7.8
    Phosphate: 0.02ppm

Think I may have been overfeeding ?
