new display setup

    hi all i will be setting up a new tank and will need some help.New tank dimension is L-1000 H-600 W550 ,current tank sump will be used dimension is L-650 H-450 W-350.I will be using all my current rocks and livestock in new tank but i want to change from crush coral to arroganite.....will need help on lighting as my intension is to use T5'S 39W

    Not sure what help you need but anything between 6-8 bulb unit will work great for corals

    ok think 6 of 39w T5's will be the route i will take

    i have crush coral in my current tank but thinking of using arroganite in new tank also will my existing sump work with new tank

    Yes i would replace the crushed coral, as this can lead to some issues overtime,becasue some pieces are so big it tends to trap detrius and can casue some nitrate.. as long as the sump is big enough for all the equipment and the tank is drilled to use a overflow there shouldnt be any problems

    ok cool and will i be able to just transfer all my stuff from old tank to new tank without any problems

    not really..

    You will either have to run the 2 tanks side by side untill the new tank has been fully cured or you will need to use most of the old water as possible to prevent an new cycle..

    There might be a small cycle but all should be ok..

    Im a big believer in the product called Seachem Stability.. Dose that from day 1-10 to help with establishing the tank
