    Hi All

I have recently bought a running Buyo 550 (130L) marine tank. I have 3 blue/green chromis, 4 clowns, 2 cleaner shrimps, and an 8 young corals (zoanthus, sun coral, mushroom, .....). IMarine is assisting me with the maintenance. I intend swopping 2 of the clowns for a yellow tang later in the month and possibly one other fish thereafter.

Pics please!!!! Rather not change with the yellow tang. Your tank is to small he wont be happy for long and will stress and get spots...

    Welcome to MASA!!

You can't put a Yellow tang in that tank, no matter how small it is. IMarine will tell you the same thing. It'll just be cruel if you do...

    WELCOME
Just one piece of advice forget about the yellow tang your tank too small, tangs need alot of swimming space rather consider one when you upgrade to a bigger system.
There are lots of fish for smaller systems like gobies, blennies, dottybacks etc.

Thanks for the advise on the yellow tang. Does that apply to all tangs (i.e. blue/regal tang)

Welcome Aqua...like the guys said a Yellow is a :nono: for your system, as will be most tangs, they are active swimmers, need a lot of space and eat a lot which could create probs in a small system

Lots of other cool things you could keep..just do your research first

Welcome to MASA. Most tangs are a no-no and will outgrow your nano very quickly

a belated welcome aqua, i missed this thread last week.
great to hear about that tank and even better to hear that you are in the capable hands of Imarine, although i am pretty sure he wouldnt advise you to put any tangs in there:)

as for getting abuse on this forum, that only happens when you do stupid and unethical things, masa is a great forum and youll get invaluable advice it often pays to listen to it :)

how is the sun coral doing, are u target feeding it and is it extending nicely?
