    Hi guys

Leslie Hempel is building me 800 x 800 x 700 rimless cube from 15mm glass, black silicone and background. Slimline centre overflow. I will be taking pics as soon as it's ready which should be quite soon.

Sump will be 700 x 700 x 400 from 10mm also black silicone. Wanting to keep it as simple as possible so Les has helped a lot with this. He's a master tank builder after all.

Stand will be 316 stainless at 805 x 805 x 850. Hoping that the stand will be done by the end of the week so that if there is anything that might need changing or if something can be added for what I might need in the future, it can be done before the tank is here.

The return pump is a Tunze 1073.040, 3000 l/hr which should be plenty.

Skimmer is a JNS CO2 rated for 1500 litre system.

Trying to keep wattage down to a minimum.

I am wanting to use two Tunze 6095 with Tunze Rocks to hide them and a 7096 to control them.

Thinking of the Tunze Aquawind for cooling as a chiller is too power hungry.

LED light unit - still not sure as far as this goes.

Anyone with any ideas or advice, please post a reply.

    Thanks in advance guys...

I have thought about those, but they are constantly upgraded. And for the price they charge they shudve done it right the first time and not need to bring out a new model every few months IMHO...

    Any others you'd suggest?

A couple of pics of the tank and skimmer and 316 stainless stand. Used 40mm square with a 1,6mm wall thickness. Light unit is coming soon. Decided on an Illumina SR260 as the tank water level is only at 650mm.

Could I use Closed Cell Foam on just the steel instead of one big sheet to fit under the tank? Or would this maybe cause the tank to crack? The stand is 40mm S/Steel and the whole tank is 15mm glass.

This way I can get away from using a wooden board on the stand as in the pic and then sagex.

What do you guys think? I don't wanna take a chance and the tank breaks but would be much beta if I could do it this way. And wat thickness would I need to get?

Why do you not want to use extra support under the tank?

I got a big sheet closed cell foam under my tank, directly on the steel.

Previously I used polystyrene strips on the steel and tank directly ontop of that. No wooden support plank used. Problem was due to the weight of my tank empty, it was extremely difficult to get the tank in place without moving any of the polystyrene strips. So when I reset up the tank I just used the complete sheet closed cell foam instead of cutting it into strips. Just easier, but more expensive.

Fans may be a tad small for a tank of this size?
