new 1200x600x700 tank

    ok so after a week asking you guys load of good and bad questions we will be starting this weekend with the building of the new tank and stand. i am super excited but are going to take it slow. thank goodness i got in touch with evo r which are also in mossel bay and very willing to help me out with anything. thanks a million everyone, will keep you posted.:thumbup:

    :)You guys are from mosselbay Cool I'm from George I never thought there woyld be so many people in the garden route in marines,I only thought about all of them being in Cape town lol :lol:

    On masa i think we are 5 now and in genaral we are about 20 or so in the garden route area.

    OK, so on saterday afternoon i started with the sum, taking out all the old silicone
    at leased i had some company and the inspector said i did a good job.

    sunday morning we started with the new dp tank. it is huge, much bigger than i thought it will be. But its not done yet. still need some bracing, overflow box and didn't get to the stand.

    I would query the validity of those inspectors, they are not wearing their "quality control" badges ;)

    the dp tank is 1200x600x700 and the sump is +-1000x350x400

    @cizanie Post a pic of the hole drilled on the side so that the other members can give you some advise whether to go the skinny overflow route or the conventional box overflow.

    Wat water did u use to fill tank? And how long did it cycle coz I see u have quite a few clowns in already???

    Ps,the water question is coz I see the hosepipe filling tank :lol:....
