Every one has told me not to put in a nemi in a new tank. My tank is 2 months old. 437 liters. I have bought a maroon elephant ears from Idol marines. On the bottom was a pretty white nemi(don't know the type) that we could not get off. It is now in my tank for 3 weeks on the same rock that I have bought it on. It is eating every 2nd day and is very beutifull. What do you think about that.

i think i'll leave this for the diplomatic core to respond to....although you do know that there are almost never healthy white nennies, regardless of how pretty they are....

I think what you may have is a jewel/beadlet or maybe a majano anemone and not a 'normal anemone' if I can put it that way. These types of anemone's could probably withstand a nuclear blast, they are very tough, whereas the clownfish anemone's are in a different league altogether, they are very delicate and have certain requirements in order to survive.

If you can post a photo of this anemone then we will be able to help you a lot more.

It is definitely not a nemo anemone. It is white with a brownish bottom. I will try and get a picture.

Glad it's doing well and has not died yet. Have you got pics of it?
