That is indeed one of our little aptaisia buddies, a pain but not invincible, get a hypodermic and inject with boiling R/O water/lemon juice/Hydrochloric acid (only use tiny amounts) or one of the shop bought methods easily available.

Don't buy copperbands etc to get rid of them, it is unfair on the fish.

Hi Kal-El, please tell me how old your tank is, do you have fish or corals? can you tell me about the water perameters (nitrate/ammonia/SG etc) it will help us to help you get rid of these little pests.

you have a blue ring octopus? do you know how deadly they are? death within minutes, no known cure etc etc??

sod the aptaisia infection, you need to get that octopus taken away by a professional immediately, these are not to be kept by amature reefers, they should be left in the sea, they only live around a year at best, so the chances of yours lasting more than a few months is unlikely.

by the way, how big is your tank?

the venom is like a sea snake
The blue-ringed octopus is the size of a golf ball, but its venom is powerful enough to kill humans. There is no known antidote.
The octopus produces venom that contains tetrodotoxin, 5-hydroxytryptamine, hyaluronidase, tyramine, histamine, tryptamine, octopamine, taurine, acetylcholine, and dopamine. The major neurotoxin component of blue-ringed octopus venom was originally known as maculotoxin, but was later found to be identical to tetrodotoxin,[1] a neurotoxin which is also found in pufferfish and cone snails. Tetrodotoxin blocks sodium channels, causing motor paralysis and sometimes respiratory arrest leading to cardiac arrest due to a lack of oxygen. The toxin is created by bacteria in the salivary glands of the octopus[2].
from wikipedia and can be re-posted

its like having a lion as a pet cat

like him or not, it should not be kept,
they are currently recognized as one of the world's most venomous animals.
