    It's a kalkwasser reactor :)

They are generally good for a reef tank, many people use them or use DIY kalkwasser drippers, it is normally beneficial to a reef system but you need to be careful how you connect it so that it can't overdose your system, if you do overdose with kalk it could kill everything in your tank.

You can save some money if you wanted to and could make up a very simple DIY kalkwasser drip.

It can help to maintain Calcium and Alkalinity and also helps with reducing phosphates in the tank. It can also increase or rather maintain a higher PH.

    As per the description...
You could set it up to run overnight to help with raising the PH (PH drops at night) (but ensure it will not overdose while you are asleep), let it run at 1 drip per second, mix 2 teaspoons of kalkwasser powder with 1 litre of RO water.

Yes, although I have only used vinegar once and personally I would rather just do the plain kalk and RO mix. You don't have to use vinegar, lots of people don't use it, it's up to you.:)

Set it up after the tank has cycled and you have livestock in the tank.
