    Hi there ppl

I got back from the MMC yesterday and went to look at how my tank is doing.
But before i went i also saw this.

On my perple shroom there was this little brown dots.
    There about 3mm X 2mm in size.
I thought it was flakes or something like that.

Yesterday when i looked closer it looks like there alive.
    It looks like SNAILS.

I dont think ill be able to take a pic but ill try.
I think they came from a new coral i got because thats when i started to see them on the purple shroom.

Just before i left one of the ricordias and the other shroom that was on that rock just came off the rock. (that was the new coral i got)

Then i took them and put them onto other rock and tied them down with a net.

I saw those brown snail things on the ricordia aswell.

Please help me. Dont know what to do.

It does seem to eat my purple shroom but im worried.
And i can definately see them move.
The shroom also still opens up verry nicely.

    Cw out

Give your mushrooms a freshwater bath using RO water that is at the same temp as your tank water. Do this for about five minutes to kill of the goggos. Now give your shrooms a saltwater bath for about five minutes with some iodine to help with infection. Remove the whole rock and give it the bath in case there are goggos on the rock

Doesn't the fresh water hurt the shroom?

They will sulk a bit but that is the only way to kill the bugs on the coral or you can pick off the bugs but with no guarantee that they will all be removed

So instead of buying coral rx, you could just dip corals in ro prior to placing it in the tank? Does this work with all corals or just softies?

    hey,

Works for zoas also, not sure about the rest :p
but by all means try to get a dip than using FW
FW would be for a emergency purpose if you cannot get a dip.

I started using Microbe-lift Herbtana, it is suppose to be reef safe, just note, no skimmer for duration of treatment and that 5 ml treats about 100 l. Treatment is 10 days, also started adding Redsea Vita to food, just a vitamin for fish.
