hey kavir
welcome to MASA, sorry thats its with urgent help thats needed, but fear not we will give you all the help that you need.
I understand you have some algae difficulties, no worries we have experts in this field, some even farm the stuff
as others have said, you wanna stop that nasty tap water. but give us a few more stats on the tank will you. 1000l of salted water is a nice voume to be working with
what sort of Live Rock do you have in there?
do you have any sand?
mollies....ok ok i'll bite my tongue, but thats not a nice way to test a tanks water perameters....or get bacteria to grow
do you have a skimmer? if so which one
do you have any internal pumps? if so which ones and what are they rated to do?
do you have any sand at the bottom, and if so how thick, and what size are the particles?
maybe send us a pic and lets see if we can help
i personally wouldnt worry too much about the lighting for now, lets get that tank up and running without algae first
I'm afraid you probably have a longish road ahead to clear the algae growth, if you dont have live stock....other than the mollies which we can acclimatise back into bath water
- i personally would start over fresh....but thats just me, i like to start off right and eep going that way
oh and dont be afraid to ask the simplist of questions, i have threads about getting enough pressure into my ro unit to get it to run.....thank goodness i did ask too. We at MASA are here to help and help all we can
