    So this morning one of my Nassarius Snail decided it was a good day to lay eggs. Caught her in the act.

    So my question is has anyone had any type of success rearing these, and maybe some info about from when laid to expect hatching to occur

    @coswecanfly @regis @Visser @RiaanP any info?

    Some species will successfully multiply in home tanks. Will take a few weeks before you could start to see tiny ones in the substrate.

    It's Nassarius, by the way. Narcissus is a flower. ;)

    somebody else (in the Cape I think) also had one snail who regularly laid eggs.

    Wasn't me!!!:tt2:. I'd let the be & see how it goes. I had 1 lay eggs before but didn't know what it was at the time so I scraped it off then soon after that I saw more then left it & had loads of little snails running around for a short while but think the hermits got hold of them.

    Then they should be ok, don't think the pom pom will be able to get all of them. I had loads of local hermits & they loved to eat my snails.

    Thats cool @Toolboysa.
    My nassarius snails laid eggs about 5months ago, & about a month later, i started noticing hundreds of tiny snails all over when i switched off the lights.
    So yes, they can be succesfully reared!
    If u were you, i would put aome sort of netting over the eggs to prevent the fish from eating them!

    It's all good. You don't have to lick their butts in order to get them to mow the lawn.
