Don't have one myself but thought for all the nano gurus out there this might be a great idea. I've seen some incredibly stunning nano's locally and some guys are even going Radions on their nano's ?

Just a thought and I'm sure this thought would take the nano to another level

The thread for the tank needs to have run for a year. So far 2balive is the only one who qualifies . Yes I have nominated him. It is a stunning setup

A nano is defined as 130 litres and below.

yes, as mentioned, it must be running at least a year.

And then the reefer must also be willing to have his tank up for tank of the moment.

I have been struggling with a TOTM feature for a while.. had some lovley tanks lined up but unfortunatley they all fell through...

We have been scouting for a nano for some time but havent found one that has quite fitted the minimum time frame, running etc etc requirements..

i do not want to simply award TOTM to a system due to lack of systems to choose from.. it would be unfair for the prson chosen as it would give them a sence of they were only chosen because there was no other willing party or alternitive..

TOTM is something we all aspire to achieve, We do not want to lessen that standard... and we discuss this alot!

So keep your tanks running, update your threads and lets create a database of stunning systems to choose from rather than scrape to find someone..

Well, we cannot call it tank of the MONTH, as it is not happening periodically as it should.
can call it "Current show tank" or something else, but the abbreviation TOTM is very well known. So with what can we substitute the "M"

Tank of the Month is fine...if you think about it, its the featured tank for THAT particular month, doesnt necessarily have to be every month.

Guys a nano tank has won once or twice already, there is no real need for a seperate TOTM for Nano systems...a note worthy system is note worthy imaterial of the size...be it 3L or 3000L.

I couldnt have said it better!
There are currently a lot of newly started nano reefs (since january '12) that is showing some great potential for totm, but only lacks the "ageing period" that is required to be a 1st class reef tank!
I suggest we give it another 6-8 months for all the nano's to take shape, & then start up the nano TOTM thread when there is a worthy system on masa.
    Anyone that agrees/disagrees?
