    Hi there,

I started a year ago planning a see thru wall aquarium in our new house. Last week I eventually started the cycling process. Its been a long road up to now and I am sure it will take another year till the tank is as invisioned. As it stands it is a 300Ltr display tank, with a 100ltr sump under the stairs. I have 30kg dead rock and 10kg live rock and 8kg live sand in the tank, so total water is about 350Ltrs. Think the aquascaping came out pretty nice. At the moment I am making a wooden frame to go around the aquarium to hide the power-headso, pipes and bottom of tank. Its been a steep learning curve and I am still learning every day. The guy from the LFS said I should be able to ad my cleanup crew in about 3weeks.

As soon as your parameters are good you can add a cuc. Time varies so you cant give it a definite time.

First picture did took me a moment to realize it is upside down.

Do you have a little fish room behind the tank?

I got a 3year old toddler girl, so 2x Clownfish is a must. I will stock other species around that. O, and I got a request from her for a puffer as well.

Display tank is 1500cm long, 60cm height, 35cm in width. I got 4 T5's (80w) each 1.45cm long, but I might change to leds, tank is running a bit hot with T5 lights on. Heat build up inside the wall.

I've also got a wall tank. My dimensions are 150x60x25. So very similar. I don't have a sump though.

    Are you sure the 1.45 T5s aren't 54 watt?
I've got 3 54 watt T5s, though only one is running due to a ballast problem.

Reeftech High output 80w each. 1x Actinic 1x Coral Blue and 2x 12000k Sun White. I just find it heats up the tank by almost 2degrees, so thinking of leds or putting extractor fans on the top sides of the wall. Does yours heat up?

It should be fine seeing as you have a chiller.
Mine does heat up but not that much, also thinking of LEDs depending on cost.

    I have the 54 watt T5s though, 1.2 meters.

Thx, I think it came out pretty nice seeing that I had to lower them in with rope due to the wall.
Here is another picture. Frames farnished just waiting for them to dry then it will finish the display nicely. Day 11 of the cycling and a lot of Brown Algae on the rocks and sand. Hope this is normal for the cycling period?
