Ok need some expert advice with My Tank
    Tank size = 880W x 720D x 720H = 456.19 liter
    Sump size = 700W x 420W x 550D = 146.7 Liters
Sump structure Chamber 1 -Inlet and skimmer with some LR below to lift skimmer (size 270W x 550D
Then drilled two holes on top where water flows out into next chamber –
Chamber 2 -DSB (size 300 x 410 by 200 deep-150 filled with aragonite water flows over to other side then flows out two holes drilled again and into
third chamber 100 x 410 x200 deep and then this flows out to below chamber I have some Caulerpa in this chamber (NB the above is built on top of the bottom chamber 4)
Chamber 4 that is 450 x 430x 300 deep and this is filled with LR and flows to a compartment where the outlet pump is to pump water back into my main tank on top.
    Lights – Boyu light fitting.
Light fitting 1m long two blue T5 on outer edge and two blue LED small 5cm diameter with a 150w MH in the middle of fitting.
    Skimmer TS2 Reeftek
1 single and two double sun sun vibration pums in tank
Sump cracked in December and rebuld sump to the above
Tank running now 5 weeks goin through a cyle and tank is gone brown inside
Done some testing with following results
    22/01/2014
    Ammonia - <0.25 mg/L
    Calcium – 140 mg/L
    Magnesium – 1470 ppm
    KH Alkalinity – 4.5 meg/L 12.6 DKH
    Nitrate – 0 ppm
    Nitrate – 0 ppm
    PH – 8.6
    SG – 1024
    Temp 27

Then I added some Calcium Reef fusion 1 and 2 (seachem) and added some Reef kalkwasser (seachem)

Then I tested again on 24/01/2014
    Ph 8.6
    Calcium – 600 mg/L
    Magnesium – 1230 ppm
    KH Alkalinity – 4.1 meg/L 11.5 DKH
    Nitrate – 0 ppm
    Nitrate – 0 ppm
    SG – 1024
    Temp 27

    Question I have?
Do I do water changes now while tank is cycling as it has gone really brown .
Can I clean the brown build up on the sides of my overflow chamber in tank
What do I do to drop calcium level and raise my KH Alkalinity (Add Epsom salts and bicarb )
I added some green polyps that I bought from LFS with two black molly fish that seems to be doing ok but polyps not opening fully.

Quick tip for your zoas dip them and swoosh them in RO water... If there are nudis it will get them off .... If there are starfish or copepods put them back in your sump don't kill the little guys ... I had some zoas with small starfish on them and they would hardly open

Can do waterchanges while cycling. Others prefer not to do any while cycling. does not matter really. The number of days shorter cycle with water changes is not that significant after all.

Leave the brown build up. it is part of the cycle and will go away eventually. Also your lean up crew, including copepods will eat it.

You added kalkwasser and now want to drop your calcium? Is it temporary? Did you overdose on kalkwasser?
