That crab is now my new favorite, its eating well and moves around at night sticking things on itself, red bubble algae was the 1st thing it tried on, also seems to eat some of it, i am thinking i should throw in a tiny suit of armor:razz:, the tank unfortunately has been neglected for the past few weeks, as u can see the back glass panel is full of algae, this is mainly cause of financial reasons and also maybe being a bit lazy:whistling:, having proper lights have always been a problem but hopefully that will b fixed by end of this year, i am thinking 8 x 24W T5's will do. Something DIY that wont cost me a small fortune. Currently using 24W T5s in two 14W x 4 light units, if that makes sense, i have never found 14W lights after purchasing the units.

Im open to criticism, so if anyone has any be my guest, these are all taken with my phone camera so excuse the quality.

thats a nicley scaped tank, well done:)

the tank seems lighter than you describe an most of the corals you have only need moderate light, but upping the lighting to 24w would be a great improvement:) Both for the corals and for your own viewing.

i see you have a few fairly large aptasia in there, id suggest killing them sooner rather than later so they dont spread.

i am not sure how big the tank is (seeing as you want 24w bulbs it may be smallish) are you sure that regal tang has enough swimming space?

nice effort so far, tanks looking good :)

Ah my bad, tank is 800L x 600W x 600H, I have been thinking there's way to much live rock in it, considering the swimming space for most fish in there, there's alot more in there then u can pick up on the pics and im not very good when it comes to aquascaping, maybe i just need a bigger tank, one day soon. As for the Aptasia, they have been terminated.

The lights have probably been the biggest and most pointless waste of money on the whole tank, buying 14W units and not being able to get 14W bulbs.

Any ideas on how much is enough live rock for a tank that size? It seems very cramped to me currently, i have a DSB and a TS2 skimmer.

    thanks for the comments.
