fish occasionally go off food if acclimating to a new tank due to the stress best you can do is make sure water parameters are excellent and make sure it is not suffering from a disease which could be causing loss of appetite

diseases like whitespot, oodinium, brooknyella and flukes can all suppress appetite. post pictures of your clown so we can diagnose if any symptoms, is it breathing fast? acting lethargic?

Its been 2 days. Dont panick yet! They sometimes take a few days to start eating. Did they show you at the LFS shop that he is eating. Always important to ask them to show you that the fish is eating. Did you just buy the 1 clown and is there other fish in the tank (except the tang). If theres more fish he will soon follow suit if the other fish start their feeding frenzy.

But if this fails, try Seachem Entice. Soak his food in a small amount and feed. They go crazy for it.

I'm sure he will start eating within a day or so!

How did you acclimate the fish and also what was the salinity of the tank at the shop that the clown came out of?

I asked them at the store whether fish was eating. Yes it did eat. I floated the fish in packet for 20min then open packet, pegged it then kept adding my water to packet every 15mins for 45mins.

I have other fish 2 clowns including new one, sailfin tang, 2 green chromis, yellow tail damsel & 2 gobies & hemit crabs.

I didnt check salinity of water in packet. I other clown is a true perc clown. There is no aggression to the new member but yesterday there was an interest in food. So today I will either get some nori or if I can get to petshop I will get marina mix.

Always make sure what the salinity is of the tank the clown was in in the shop. A lot of shop keep their fish at a lower salinity and raising it too quickly will stress out the fish and could cause long term damage as well.
