My "New" Skimmer

    So I was at Idol chatting to Adriaan about skimmers & one thing lead to another & well now I have a skimmer with a Bubble Blaster HY-5000S pump here are some pics

    I have got a Turboflotor Blue 1000 by Aqua Medic that had no pump.
    so went for a Bubble Blaster HY-3000S pump and wow!!!

    bubble blaster pump is the way to go :)

    your skimmer is only as good as your pump

    What skimmer is in the 1st pic? looks like an RO extreme 200 body? took the sicce off and put a HY-5000.

    I have that Octx (which has 2 Sicce pumps)...was this modded to fit the BB pump?

    yes we blocked one inlet & then "fitted" the pump

    mmmmhhh sound like a plan...I would have to see if it can be modded to run external though, will chat to him when i'm ready.

    Those bubbles look impressive. Anyone got a good skimmer to exchange for any or combo of 5x 150W MH, Ca reactor, ph controller, co2 bottle, pressure reducer and control valve?:047:

    I have a TS4 skimmer all pumps not older then 4 months so still have warranty! would exchange for working CA reactor

    I don't mind buying a CO2 bottle but the rest must be there - size does not really matter that much.

    The 250 should have place for 2 pumps and feed inlet, the 200 (160 internal) has place for only 1 pump.
