For the past 3 months ive been busy with my new tank build but only starting a thread now, i have all the pictures along the way so your advise and comments will be appreciated,

    Tank specs

    display - 1000 x 850 x 600 (water level 550)
3 sided 12mm starfire glass, rimless
slim overflow with 2 slim returns
    sump - 950 x 500 x 400 (3 chambers)
    lighting - 120W LED unit (20 blue, 20 white)
    remote control dimming
Skimmer - bubble magus curve 9 rated for 1200 litres
return pump - bubble magus rock 4000 (4000 LPH)

Thinking of adding bio cubes in a sock and activated carbon in a reactor, also got a bubble magus calcium reactor, saga ph controller with probe, need a CO2 bottle to hook this system up,

Most of the work besides the tank itself was diy so i saved a fortune,

    Now for some progress pics

    ?

notice the room behind the tank, thats where my RO mixing station will be setup with 200 litre ready mixed saltwater always available for water changes, the first chamber of sump holds exactly 60 litres of water and it has a drain pipe at the bottom of it going outside, when i need to do a water change I open the ballvalve and 60 litres gets flushed out, from my 200 litre tank at the back i on the pump and it fill 60 litres back, so 10% water change done in 2 minutes without a drop of water on the floor

this is the LED unit im using, brilliant stuff, i bought 2 from direct from overseas and i think 1 will be more than sufficient, 40 x 3W cree LEDs, 20 blue and 20 white, has a remote controller to dim blues and whites and to on/off, the other one will most probably go up for sale
