    Hi Guys,

Things have progressed quite a bit and the tank is officially up and running.

It still has that very new look but here are some pics anyway.

Wow, a lot of things happened in one week. impressive tank. How does your return work?

Also, just to confirm, you did move the livestock, and more specifically the live rock from another stable tank.

Was just wondering :p .. could of been the shortest cycle ever hehe.. What are the effects of a pink globe? Does it make any particular colours pop?

    Hi Guys,

Thanks for the comments to answer your questions yes it was moved from my existing cube I had with the addition of some more live rock I had in my other tank. The blue is very bright but it should settle as the tank gets older.

The overflow is basically just a glass box cladded in blue perspex which I had laser cut, it's the other blue colour you see on the back pane. As far as the light unit goes I am extremely happy with it especially the LED moonlights at night. The mix of bulbs is:

    All Giesemann

    2 X Aquablue plus
    2 X Actinic plus
    1 X Aqua pink
    1 X Pure actinic

The pink bulb definitly makes a difference and brings out reds and blues in the tank. The overall colour is really nice you just don't get the halide shimmer

what does a purple globe do then? Later on I want to add either 2 or 4 more t5's but I want to play around with the colour a bit :)

Nice, looking tank. Show us some sump pics please. Hows the Deltek skimmer performing, it looks like a monster for your size tank.
