Decided to start this thread on my tank WIP (work in progress)!!!

Sorry for reflection on pic using cellphone - Will try camera tomorrow night!

    Rockscaping not greaT! lol!

Opted for in tank DSB due to excessive depth (700mm) & minimal sump dimentions under stand - presently using old established DSB from previous 3 ft untill in tank matures & can then repartition sump tp accommodate larger skimmer.

    Corals masinly shrooms / softies
    Fish - Myerlii Butterfly
    Clarki Clown
    Six line wrasse
    Convict Tang
    (ladder?) Wrasse

    Looking really good.
I'm glad to see you finally got it up and running.
    How is the butterfly doing?
Are you running that new skimmer in there yet, or do you still need that shaft?

Butterfly good - Bigger skimmer fixed but not in use untill in tank DSB kicks in & I can redo sump (remove old DSB)

Decided on in tank DSB due to limited stand space / shape & also depth of tank - I am +- 2metres tall & still battle to reach bottom at back!!!

This may be a better photo - still lots of work on tank to tidy up & also need photography practice!

Looks much better than the old tank, I like the scaping.:)
The move over seems to have gone well.
I also think the if you didn't go for that in tank DSB, you would have needed stronger lighting.
Is that still the same light you had before?

I can't see the pic you posted unless I go to your album, its hard to get a good picture with a cellphone. It is sometimes best to take the photo in the evening and turn off the back ground lighting.

As far as I know you can't delete a post, you can just edit it to take out the origanal text and say duplicate post.

How did you get that skimmer to work?

Skimmer pump - superglued impellor to magnet & put broken bit of shaft inside magnet - ran in tank for +- 36 hrs so seens OK , will know for sure when I change sump & have space to run it!

Still lots of finishing off work - Cabinet doors (will hide in tank DSB ) & skirt for top to hide lights & neaten up:thumbup: !

Advice? - How long to functional DSB?

Waiting for intank DSB to kick in so I can remove sump DSB & reposition partitions - need extra space for it.

Not sure how long that takes (?2-3? months?) - @ Rian - or another knowledgable member may be able to advise me?
