Little Update, end of week 2 in the cycle.

    Ammonia: 0
    Nitrate: 0
Nitrite: less than 2.5 (Colour is not the right one for 2.5 but is also not the right colour for 0.5)
    Phosphate: 0

This time I borrowed my friend's kits and tested it my self.

Ok, so I went and bought my own kit as I wasn't comfortable using m friend's kit because it had expired.

Just did a test with my new kit and here are the results:

    Ammonia: 0.2
    Nitrite: 0.2
    Nitrate: 10

So will be using my kit from now on.

Starting week 3 tomorrow and will see how that goes.

I think my cycle is slowing down a bit.
week 3 ended yesterday and started week 4 today and results are:

    Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0.1 (could be a little less, was struggling with the colour).
Nitrate: 10 (not sure if that's normal or od that it hasn't changed).

Also stopped dosing Stability last week Friday.

Will get my water tested again by someone who doesn't struggle seeing the colours.

Must also add some RO water as my salinity is at 37-38 ppt.

So almost a year later and this is what my nano looks like :) thinking of upgrading to a +-100l tank in the near future.
Would still like to add a xenia frag and a zoanthid frag, but very happy with my little tank :)
My hermit is shy so catching him on camera isn't always possible.

Tank is doing great and looks quite nice if you ask me, I even had to deal with two incidents of Cyano algae but that's sorted now.

Looks healthy and clean. Like the simplicity, not too much, just enough for the tank. Great job.

It shows. I think the upgrade will be a good choice.

So I need some help, I would like to add a cleaner shrimp for extra clean up crew, since I just have one hermit crab, but with the size of the tank I'm not sure if I'll be over stocking if I add 1 cleaner shrimp.

Also does anyone know where I can buy shells for my hermit crab, I think he needs a new shell.

Shrimp hardly add to biology. Intact they will eat the uneaten fish food. You could safely add 2. I had 5 when I still ran my jebo r338

shrimps should be able to get away from each other when they molt.

Long ago I had a lot of peppermint shrimps for aiptasia in a dedicated aiptasia removal system. Kept on loosing them one by one. Until one night I saw one molt and immediately the others attacked him.

Lol hope that fine sands doesn't turn ur tank into Dubai. Perhaps good idea to add sand sifting star with that thick bed

Must say, I haven't had any issues with this sand, have a couple bags for when I get my big tank up and running (eventually), I do on occasion sift through the sand though lately if I go to a certain part of the tank my female clown comes and takes a nip at certain parts of my hand.

So I finally will be upgrading to 150l, a plan I've been talking about for a long time. Bought the tank this afternoon from PetStop after work and am very happy and excited :) Can finally do the aquascaping I've been dreaming of, will also be getting a new skimmer, lighting unit etc.

As for my current setup, it will become my quarantine tank for my 150l and 1000l tanks.

Though I will miss posting in this thread, what a journey :)
