I have inherited a boyu 34G nano from my father in law who doesn't have time to maintain it. I brought the thing home today, filled her up added the rocks and now I dont know what to do with it regarding corals. It came with cabbage corals, grape coral, some shrooms and an orange sponge. The tank has been running for over two years so it's cycled and I just need to fill her up with corals

My first thought would be bring all the excess corals from my large display which would be some branching hammer, open brains, softies, shrooms and of course xenia.

My other idea would be to go with a non photosynthetic tank which would mean things like dendronepthia, sun corals, sponges, gorgonians and maybe disticophera.

    Decisions, decisions.

Like you said Tony, decision decisions. Softi's seems to do well in these tanks. The lighting is not greatin these so a non photosynthetic tank sounds like a brilliant idea!!

Sounds cool and a nice idea. They lighting should sustain a few hardy SPS's

    Gross:whistling:. I'm not a mantis fan.

Speaking of the boyu nanos. They have two PC fans at the back of the hood. Mine don't turn on for some reason even when I press the button on or off. They seems to be two ballast like starters next to them. Could this be the problem? Any ideas what coold be wrong?

48W PC lighting is hardly enough for SPS in my opinion mate. Perhaps plating monti but thats about it

Likewise Neil, I've filled her up with corals but I am not happy, things look a little out of proportion. I'll take a pic or two today and post it to see what you guys think
