Sooo, its been know that I change a lot of tanks, more than underwater.

My pico was getting to small so I wanted something little bigger but different. I decided on a drop reef.

Took me 2 days to make and transfer all the stock. Still need to add the overflow comb and lift the water level.

This is the tank so far, will take better pics once settled in and everything running smoothly.

Yeah, and was so rushed for time and I didn't do a water test and sprung a leak, luckily sorted it quickly.

Very cool. If I may offer one small bit of criticism . That rock on the right hand side, looks a bit unnatural leaning at an angle like that. Have you tried standing it up and moving it right up against the glass? To me that would make it look more like a reef edge/face. Just a thought. Looks very cool though, will be following this one. :)

@viper357 That is my plan to do once i have everything 100% but did it last night just to make myself also happy as having it up right is my planned scape.

@reefer101 Im going to keep it simple. Will do like i always have done run full prodibio program and skimmer. Still looking into what skimmer to get, still deciding. Red Devil range is well priced at the moment. I made my first chamber at the back big enough to fit a good over sized skimmer but decided to go with a smaller but not under rated skimmer and fuge.

Just a little update

Still some small thing to sort out like my lights, will be upgrading that. Wont be changing much, just make new rods so the light unit can clip onto the sides of the tank, change the led layout and adding some optics with the deeper side of the tank, 90deg optics and the shallow side 120deg.

Im over due for a update.

I took out the black sand and went for white. Also vinegar bathed the rock as i believe it was leaching phosphates. Well after the reboot my parameters are all stable again. Hanna checker my nitrates is 0, Hanna Phosphorus checker its 0.02. My nutrients is very low. Only 3 fish in the tank and a good handful of local snails. I started gettig heavy bleaching and loss of color on almost all my sps and lps. I started dosing amino acids and vitamins to help them get there colour back as my nutrients flat lined. So far corals starting to get there colour back and some nice pastel colours. Lps corals also not see through anymore. Started 3 weeks ago with the full prodibio program like i always used to do.

Pics will be coming in few min.
