Nice tank its strange how one can also be certain where a tank is from just by looking at the fish in it. The tank must be running for some time already ?

    Thanks guys,

Yea it has been running for a while now, around 5 years. But I have been doing a few changes over the past few months. Basically i stripped it down about 6 months ago and put in a dsb, Redid the display tank, and added some t5's to my MH's.

    My tank is 1400 / 600 / 600

I got 4 x Oldschool 802 powerheads in DT for circulation etc. Also on Timers for change in currents etc.
I have a dorky skimmer (BOYU) hang on side kinda thing. It does the job but I want to upgrade this soonish.
My dsb has kicked in and is doing the job, it could be a little bigger perhaps. (Il take pics of it later)

    Stock =

Various soft corals, wanting to get into a few LPS though. Everything is doing really well except for my Fox coral, its just never been happy. (See picture, centre bottom, what should i do?)
    Fish =

Yellow Tang, Regal Tang, 5 x anthius (My Male has just started showing his man colours) Cleaner wrasse, Dragon Wrasse (Destructive bugger), Harlequin angel, 2 x percular clowns, Blue sided fairy wrasse (Very pretty), and ofcorse my trusty convict tang. Caught locally ofcorse!!!!!

    Hi and welcome .

    Verry nice tank !

I saw the fox tail wasnt doing too great, everything else looks great , but they are softies.

I would sugest borrowing another skimmer if possible , the softies dont mind extra protien, but it may be that the skimmer isnt coping and the foxtail doesnt like it.

Also how old is the M/H it may need replacing , the T-5 are suposed to penitrate 600 deep, but nothing does what its suposed to nowdays.

    Good luck

    :wave2: Welcome to MASA.

For the fox coral, maybe move it up into the rockwork and target feed some phytoplankton.

Diet and location Requirements: It requires moderate lighting combined with low water movement within the aquarium. For continued good health, it will also require the addition of calcium, strontium, and other trace elements to the water. It will also benefit from additional food fed weekly in the form of micro-plankton or brine shrimp.

Thanks guys. I will try moving the Fox a little higher up and with less water movement.
The MH'S are around 2 years old and are 150W. 2 of the T5's are a month old and the other 2 are also about 2 years old. (This could be an issue?:nono:)

Hey les, at last you get to see my tank, hahaha. You must still pull im sumtime though and give it a good once over! You can be my OB1 Kanobi, hahahaha.

    Later:wave2:

Hi , i think the M/H is deu for replacement , it could make the difference.
Remember to start the new bulb on less hours a day and week by week increase the light duration.
